Volunteer Ambassador recruitment and training

Community First supported the Carnoustie Community Development Trust by recruiting, training and coordinating Carnoustie Ambassadors for the week of The 147th Open and Carnoostival in the summer of 2018.

We worked closely with The R&A, Carnoustie Golf Links, Event planners, Local Authority Officers, Emergency Services and partners to ensure that the Carnoustie Ambassador volunteers were aware of roles, responsibilities, key messages and health and safety requirements before and during the events.

Community First also supported Caboos&Co to source local staff for the temporary accommodation site for the duration of the Open.
